Pitch us!

Everyone’s experience of motherhood is different, but for most of us, it’s a remarkable journey made a little lighter with support. We’re looking for fresh perspectives on the experience of pregnancy, childbirth, and the transition to motherhood to feature in our online magazine.

What we're looking for

Creative, well-written, and specific stories about your journey toward motherhood. Maybe having a child yourself made you think about your relationship with your own mother in a new way. Maybe having a doula in the room helped you feel empowered during childbirth in a way you didn’t expect. Maybe changing your diet because of pregnancy inspired you to start cooking for yourself and you re-discovered the joy of food. Maybe dealing with postpartum UI during exercise didn’t stop you from winning a gold medal in your sport. We want stories that inspire confidence, give insight into this journey, and let others know that they’re not alone. Check out our first-person section for some good examples, and try not to pitch something we’ve already published. In addition to first-person narratives, we’re also looking for well-written and thoughtful reviews of specific prenatal and postpartum products (underwear, nursing bras, Kegel gadgets). We want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly: What worked for you and what didn’t, and why?
