A little bit about me: I grew up in Wellesley, MA and went the whole 3.5 miles away to Wellesley College. After that, I moved to Nashville, TN, where I worked in the music industry for 4 years before deciding that I help more people with physical therapy. I then went to Duke University, where I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010.
It was during that time that I learned what the pelvic floor is and how central it is to a person’s function and sense of self. Since then, I have been absolutely fascinated not only by the difference that pelvic floor therapy can make in a patient’s life, but also by the complete lack of information we ever have about our pelvic floors.
After Duke, I moved to Portland, OR, where I practiced for 3 years before returning to the Boston area in 2013. I have worked both at Massachusetts General Hospital as well as Joint Ventures in Cambridge, where I helped develop the pelvic health program, adding 6 more pelvic health therapists to their ranks.
Now I return to the South Shore, closer to home. I live in Quincy with my husband. I enjoy cooking, birdwatching, photography, crafting, gardening, and music (especially country). I look forward to meeting you and am happy to answer any questions (no matter how silly or stupid) about pelvic health.
