Stefanie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in 2014. Her passion for women's health began at an early age, in the form of studying about pregnancy and childbirth. In her last year of physical therapy school, she completed a clinical rotation in a women's health setting at Franciscan Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center, where she learned to evaluate and treat women who experience pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Following graduation, she began taking pelvic floor courses through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute and began her clinical practice specializing in women's health. She joined the Kirk Center for Healthy Living in June 2015 to continue to develop her clinical expertise in pelvic and visceral dysfunction in an environment that fosters her growth as a professional.
She loves to learn and actively attends courses through the APTA, Barral Institute, and Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute. She has also recently discovered her passion for teaching and has had the honor of assistant teaching for the Herman and Wallace pelvic floor course series and for the Barral Institute's visceral manipulation courses 1 & 2. In the summer of 2017, after assisting with the birth of her nephew, Stefanie's passion for pregnancy and child birth led her to become a certified birth doula. She is thrilled to be able to work more closely with expecting mothers during the most amazing time of their lives.
When she is not at work, Stefanie enjoys traveling, reading, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family and friends.
