I am a Miami-based International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Together with healthcare providers, Lactation Consultants give support and assistance to mothers and babies during their lactation process. I am a graduate of the University of California San Diego Lactation Program, which provided me with the pathway to apply for board examination for certification with IBLCE.

I’m a Private Practice Lactation Consultant. My work is mainly focused on assisting mothers having lactation concerns. I am available for in home setting consults or in my office by appointment only. I am delighted to announce that my new office is located at 350 Sevilla Avenue suite 106 Coral Gables, Fl 33134. I also provide individual consultations and group pre-natal breastfeeding classes in both English and/or Spanish.

I’m currently in the process of becoming a certified Biological Nurturing® Laid-back Breastfeeding Consultant, which will allow me to assist mothers and babies with an approach to breastfeeding that promotes optimal breastfeeding positions and mother-baby interactions that release spontaneous behaviors which help mothers get started in their lactation process.

The work of Suzanne Colson and her research on Biological Nurturing has inspired me to understand that we can approach breastfeeding in a different way than what we have in recent times; a way that makes more sense. Biological nurturing is in my opinion, the explanation to the puzzle that allows babies to maximize their inborn primitive resources to make a smooth “transition from womb to the world”. I am eager to share this approach with expecting or new mothers because I believe it gives the dyad a better chance to be successful at breastfeeding.
