Bio

Dr. Milliron is Board Certified in pediatrics, a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics, and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). After completing her residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, she continued her career there as an attending physician in the newborn nursery and a community pediatrician. She moved to Charleston in 2012 and took a position with Coastal Pediatric Associates. Her primary interests include newborn care, breastfeeding and child advocacy. Her interest in lactation care begin after the birth of her first son. She gained even more personal experience and interest in lactation care and breastfeeding with the birth of her identical triplets. Dr. Milliron then furthered her education to become an IBCLC. Dr. Milliron is excited to bring her experience and expertise to serve as Medical Director of the Breastfeeding Center of Charleston where she will regularly care for mothers and babies. When not caring for families she enjoys spending time with her husband, their four sons, their dog and their cat. In addition to enjoying time at home with her family, she loves traveling and being at the beach.
