My experience working with infants and children and families goes back to 1994 when I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have worked in NICU, PICU, Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Transplant, and Pediatric Home Health. I have been a Certified Lactation Counselor since 2012 and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2014. I worked with families to meet their breastfeeding goals at Women's Hospital for over 3 years.
Tambien, yo vivia en la Republica Dominicana y he trabajado en una clinica de salud alli. Entonces, si necesita ayuda en espanol, yo puedo ayudarle.
In addition to my clinical experience in pediatric nursing and lactation consultation, I have lectured at NC A&T, been interviewed for a podcast on http://mommyzlove.com, presented courses in Fetal Development at a local middle school, and I have served as an expert consultant at Tinyhood.
As a mother, I understand the challenges of those first few weeks after your baby is born. My 2 sons are teenagers now, and they are tremendously fun. I am married to an ophthalmologist, and we both believe that there is no greater privilege than to help others live as healthily as possible. I am a runner with equal affection for both kale and cookies. I love coffee, reading, and playing in the kitchen. I serve my community through active involvement in my house of worship, my children's school, and I serve on the Board of Trustees at FaithAction International House.
I am passionate about promoting and protecting the health of women and children. I look forward to working with you!
