Hi, I’m Amanda Aubrey – International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – and this is my story.

Anyone close to me knows that my family is my world. My husband and I are blessed with three beautiful girls. When we married, I gained an amazing daughter who is a wonderful “Big Sis” and inspirational role model to our two youngest daughters.

As a family, we enjoy traveling and attending just about any University of Louisville sporting event we can. If we’re not on a vacation to Disney World, you can usually find us somewhere on the beach!
My passion is pediatrics. Immediately after graduating from the University of Louisville with my MSN, I began working in a pediatric office. It didn’t take long to realize just how many new mothers and newborn babies needed lactation support. After struggling to nurse two babies myself, and seeing first hand so many families struggling to find resources, I realized I needed to further my training and skills in lactation.

I’ve always known pediatrics would be my calling, but I had no idea when I started this journey in healthcare that I could feel so passionately about those tiny newborn babies and lactation.

By combining my experiences as an APRN, utilizing many of the guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and my continued growth as an IBCLC, I started to see wonderful results with families struggling with lactation.

A combination of my clinical experience, as well as the huge demand for lactation support, ultimately gave me the confidence to make a career change. By starting my own in-home lactation business, my hope is to help so many more moms, babies, and families reach their feeding goals!

If you’re struggling on your breastfeeding journey, I get it. I’ve been there. Breastfeeding doesn’t always come naturally for everyone. My goal is to help every family through any obstacles that may arise, and to help make this the enjoyable experience that I know it can be!
