Bio

I was born and raised in the southwest of England. I came to America in 1984 and settled in the Woodstock area. In 1991 I gave birth to my daughter. It was a profound experience that I will always carry with me. It gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about myself. That experience led me to becoming a doula in 1999. I have enjoyed all the jobs I have ever worked, but being a doula is the most rewarding and challenging work I have ever done! Being on call, staying up all night, keeping a positive attitude and "giving my entire self" for hours can be physically and mentally challenging. But ultimately a new family is born and I am privileged to be a part of that experience. I have a great family and a garden that I enjoy working in. When I'm not attending births I like to work on my house, cook, and search for information and training to expand the scope of my practice.
