Bio

I am a medical student at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I am also a certified birth doula and a member of the maternal-fetal medicine research team at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Formerly one of the youngest birth doulas in the world, I worked with teenage parents throughout their pregnancy and birth providing physical and emotional support. I have been featured in O: The Oprah Magazine for my work as a volunteer birth doula as well as in over 20 other radio shows, books, websites, and magazines. As a freelance writer, I have had over 40 articles published in both regional and national magazines.
