Described as very knowledgeable, calm, and professional by all of those who have engaged her services, Ashley's clients especially love her ability to support their partners in feeling connected to the birthing process. Ashley achieved her certification just two months after training to be a doula. She certified as a labor doula and postpartum doula and was the first certified postpartum placenta specialist in Tennessee. She is also a lactation specialist, newborn care specialist, and certified childbirth educator. She presents options and evidence so each family may choose what suits them best. A few highlights of her career have been receiving the Four-Star Award for excellence, getting invited to teach yoga three years in a row for a large doula conference, and being asked to speak in front of a group of midwives and doctors at various hospitals around Middle Tennessee about the benefits of doula support. She is an active member of the birth community and has been a guide and mentor to many new doulas in Nashville. When Ashley isn't supporting families, she can be found practicing yoga, playing with her two black rescue cats, Shiva and Shakti, or enjoying some delicious vegetarian cuisine at her home in Nashville.
