My journey to motherhood—and to doula work—began when I was a single, pregnant teenager and my midwife treated me with respect and dignity. This experience led to my passion for working with families in all walks of life in their own journeys into parenthood. I strive to provide unbiased support that leaves families feeling capable, cared for, and respected. As a doula, I specialize in physical and emotional comfort measures, natural pain coping techniques, and birth advocacy. My overarching intention is to ensure the memory of birth is positive and cherished and that it can be looked back on fondly for a lifetime. I have birth and postpartum doula training through Mother Tree Doula Services, where I also completed a six-month intensive birth doula internship. I am an Oregon State Certified Traditional Health Worker and working toward DONA certification. I also volunteer my services with the Gateway Doula Project, where I support families who would not otherwise have access to a doula. I live with my husband, our hairless dog, Mora, and our two boys. I enjoy traveling with my family, cruising around on my bicycle on a sunny day, and quiet Sundays at home with my boys watching football.
