We are a wife-and-wife doula team supporting families in Pittsburgh, PA. We've been working with parents since 2014 and we offer birth doula support, postpartum doula support, lactation consults, childbirth classes, and sleep counseling for infants and toddlers.

We love working with parents who seek a whole-person birth experience in a hospital setting. And we love attending births in homes and birth centers as well! We view birth as a rite of passage that is different for everyone, and seek to validate the huge range of emotions that can come up along the way.

The postpartum time is its own rite of passage as well! Marlee loves assisting new parents as they learn more about their new baby, especially when it comes to feeding questions. She is a compassionate listener with a flexible style, and loves helping families find a rhythm that will work for them. She is also a skilled lactation professional offering in-home breastfeeding and chestfeeding support for families who want a less clinical, more personalized experience.

Our childbirth classes are practical, above all things. Our goal is to help parents learn real-life ways they can prepare for the experience of birth. We teach the basic physiology of labor, how to cope with the intensity of contractions, how to make decisions and what sorts of medical technology may be a helpful resource, and how to prepare for postpartum and caring for a newborn.

We love working with other members of the LGBTQ+ community and offer inclusive care for all our clients.

Other specialties include working as bereavement doulas for families experiencing loss and working with parents who have high risk pregnancies that may require induction of labor or birth by cesarean.

We have trained with Birthing From Within, Childbirth International, Stillbirthday, Spinning Babies, and many more. Continuing education is very important to us - we love growing our knowledge and experience to enhance our support!
