Allie Hammond, PT, DPT earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, in 2016. Allie’s clinical practice is in fulltime outpatient orthopedics at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) in Salida and Buena Vista, Colorado; a rural community-focused Critical Access Hospital. She specializes in women’s and men’s pelvic health physical therapy with an emphasis on optimizing the birth experience and supporting women throughout the postpartum recovery to address abdominopelvic pain that may affect bowel, bladder and sexual health. Her passion also aligns with pediatric wellness and return to sport for adolescents. Allie teaches community classes in obstetrics and men’s pelvic wellness in five-week exercise and educational series through HRRMC. She advocates for collaborative care through presentations and discussions at the hospital’s Obstetrics and Urology Committee Meetings. Her most recent speaking engagement was at the National American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Conference in Denver Feb. 2020 to advocate for maternal care by explaining her hospital's four component obstetrics program, during a two hour educational lecture. She has been a member of the Colorado Chapter and the Women’s Health Section of the APTA since 2014.
