Bio

Katie graduated from Colorado State in 2004 with her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science degree. In 2007, she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Florida. Katie has advanced training in manual therapy techniques including myofascial release, advanced spinal examination and treatment, and advanced extremity manipulation techniques. In 2009, Katie began advancing her training in pelvic floor physical therapy and now enjoys helping both men and women with pelvic pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, and the OB population pre and postpartum. In 2011, Katie completed her advanced coursework and training for trigger point dry needling, including needling for the pelvic floor. Katie has a passion working in the outpatient clinic environment with the variety of orthopedic conditions that come her way. She enjoys treating patients in order for them to return to their life, sport, or recreational activity as soon as possible. Katie opened Ability Physical Therapy in Lafayette in 2010, intent on bringing quality and uniqueness of patient care deserving of the Boulder County population. She strives to create a clinic focused on personalized patient care using advanced manual treatments in a warm, fun, and welcoming environment.
