I am the mother of three children, two boys and a girl, all of them born unmedicated. (2010 birth center, 2013 at home in California, and 2016 a home birth in Charlotte!) Each of my labors and births taught me incredible things, about myself and my capabilities! I feel strong and empowered by those experiences, yet I am no superwoman! I know that with the mental commitment to the task, you, too, can have an unmedicated, vaginal birth! Birthing naturally has given me a feeling of immense satisfaction, and it made for a beautiful, easy transition into motherhood (and a natural birth also helps with initiating breastfeeding).
