Lauren Sams has been practicing infant nutrition as a Registered Dietitian with Board Certified Specialty in Pediatric Nutrition recognition since 2015 with International Board Certified Lactation Consultant designation since 2021.

She previously served as an inpatient and outpatient Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Dietitian at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was involved in the inauguration of an outpatient NICU Nutrition Follow Up Clinic. During this time she co-authored Growth in the High-Risk Newborn Infant Post-Discharge: Results from a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nutrition Follow-up Clinic which was published in the journal of Nutrition in Clinical Practice in 2020.

Lauren’s family returned home to Waco, Texas in the summer of 2020. Early in 2021, Lauren launched @grow.baby.nutrition social media platforms in effort to share evidenced based education and practical advice to help moms grow their babies with confidence.
