What is Rice Bran Oil used for?

Rice bran oil is a good source of strong antioxidant and free radical scavenger compounds. These compounds can contribute to protecting the skin from damaging action of free radicals that are formed under UV and premature skin aging. Rice bran oil antioxidants have the capability of penetrating the skin and providing antioxidant protection for the epidermis and dermis against free radical attack. Rice bran oil also contains a high proportion of short-chain fatty acids. These are natural emollients and provide good hydration and occlusion for the skin as well as protecting the skin.
