Bio

I am a mother of five, four of which I've given birth to myself. My kids, along with my husband, are the center of my world. Trained at Bastyr University and U.C. San Diego, I am a DONA certified Doula, childbirth educator, certified Hypnobirthing instructor and certified Hypnobirthing Doula, and a certified lactation educator.

I believe birth is a natural event that our bodies are designed for. I believe that your best birth experience is one where you are continually supported by a compassionate team that listens to what you need, is well trained in birthing skills, and deeply cares for your well-being.

I have experience with twins, premature births, and families who have gone through IVF. I've worked with moms of all ages and family configurations. I also have extensive experience breastfeeding and work closely with each mom to support her learning this new skill. In my practice I use Hypnobirthing and Spinning Babies to improve fetal positioning and reduce the chance of cesarean section. I AM A MOTHER! In addition to all the training, college, and direct experience as both a doula and childbirth educator, I am also a mom who has been pregnant, lost pregnancy, got pregnant again and had my babies. I've been a young mom, and middle age mom, and a 'geriatric' mom. I've had easy breastfeeders and babies that are really challenging to feed. I gone through this journey with all of the highs and lows and I still truly love the magic of birth.
