Bio

Kiara is the founder and principal of Bump to Birth Doula Services LLC. Kiara is a national conference presenter, skilled leader, and facilitator in the realm of maternal infant health.


Kiara is a Mothering Justice fellow and has received many acknowledgements for her work and service with Healthy Start and Bump to Birth including a feature by GR Kids as one of the top recommended doulas for 2019.


Kiara has a deep commitment to serving all birthing people especially women of color in which her knowledge and support of these families address persistent racial and social disparities.


Kiara continues to use her influence for future generations to empower, equip, and build healthier communities as she offers mentorship to young mothers through DA Blodgett ST Johns Young Moms Program.


Kiara holds a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration from Baker College and is a graduate of Urban Core Collectives Transformational Leadership Program where she remains an active alumni focusing on health equity and social justice for the birthing and parenting community.


Most recently Kiara has received recognition by written proclamation from Mayor Rosalynn Bliss and the City of Grand Rapids acknowledging "Doula Appreciation Week‚" during the month of March.


Kiara is a West Michigan native and mother of two.
