Bio

I am a DONA International–trained birth doula. My passion for birth began during my first pregnancy when I was soaking up any bit of information I could about childbirth in order to better prepare myself for the big event. I was shocked and frightened by the many scary and less-than-desirable birth stories I was hearing, with the positive being few and far between. Every woman deserves to be nurtured, cared for, and respected in a way that meets her individual needs in such a precious time as welcoming her child into the world. I am passionate about my own beautiful and peaceful home birth experiences but also know the great value of continuous labor support for women choosing to birth in any setting. Whether you are planing a natural birth, one utilizing medical pain relief, or a cesarean birth, it is my desire to be a continuous support for you and your partner during this sacred time. I am also a dedicated breastfeeding advocate and am able to offer support in this area as well.
