Bio

Sasha Williams is a certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator, a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Center for Breastfeeding, a Certified Doula through DONA International, and has been teaching alignment-based prenatal yoga since 2008. Through 2010, she served as Co-Chair of the East Hawai’i Perinatal Local Area Consortium, a volunteer community group striving to improve the network of services available to women and their families during their childbearing years, with special outreach to Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, Filipinos, Latinos, and Teens. She is vigilant about understanding her place in the world as a race-conscious white woman, and strives for cultural sensitivity and awareness in everything she does. She likes making jokes about being haole. Sasha is married and is the mother to two children, Bodhi (born 2002) and Rani (born 2004).
