Bio

In 2006, I began a new chapter of my life and transitioned from a career in medical research editing to nursing. As a nurse, I have found my greatest joy in assisting families as they welcome their newborns into the world and then learn to provide the best nutrition for each individual baby, as provided by each individual mother. I became a Certified Breastfeeding Educator (CBE) in 2007, and then in 2013 completed the requirements as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My experience working in a community hospital has given me the opportunity to work with hundreds of mothers, fathers and infants, and I continue to get new insights from every new family I am privileged to serve.
