My own breastfeeding journey began on a very bumpy path, 700 miles away from family support with an extremely difficult first birth. I found much needed help with La Leche League. My second child enthusiastically latched on at birth and never looked back. My third was born into a crazy busy household and the details are fuzzy but he is currently a big healthy Division 1 college athlete so we consider that a breastfeeding success! Between my personal and professional breastfeeding experience, I know the road can be twisty, but the journey is definitely worth it.
