Bio

Dru started her obstetrical nursing career in 2001 after receiving her bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She served four years active duty as a nurse in the US Air Force. The majority of that time was spent as a labor and delivery nurse; however, Dru did gain experience as a postpartum and nursery nurse. It was apparent early on that she had a love for nursing and lactation.

After separating from the military, she worked as a postpartum nurse to gain more breastfeeding experience. Dru became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2006. She has worked as a lactation consultant in a hospital setting since 2008. She has taught both prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding education to parents.
