Hello! My name is Jill. I am married and a mother of 5 children (ages 26-14). I graduated from the Brigham Young University College of Nursing in 1997 and I have practiced as an RN for over 20 years; My love and passion for helping moms breastfeed began while working many years in Labor & Delivery, Level 2 nursery, and Mother/baby.
My nursing career started to move toward becoming primarily a Lactation Consultant about 10 years ago. I am now an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
I have extensive experience working with in-patient moms and babies who are learning, but might be struggling to breast feed. (Which is quite common!)
As much as the Lactation Consultants in a hospital setting try to give good help and guidance, the reality is that most mother get brief help, and are left with questions or concerns. I consider myself as part of the postpartum doula “tribe”!
I am happy to come to the hospital or birthing center, or your home, to help you ...Your own private IBCLC at your service...no waiting...no sharing.
I also have extensive experience working with both older babies and outpatient lactation clinics over the years.
Currently, I make home visits, usually lasting 1-2 hours. All supplies used during the consultation are included in my fee. I also offer free texting, emails, phone calls during the first 2 weeks to answer questions, give support, or change our lactation care plan.
I understand that breastfeeding success looks different for each mother. I am here to support and guide you, and educate you with an open mind and heart, knowing that breastfeeding is a sensitive time for many mothers. I want to help you reach your breastfeeding goals, or to help you revise your goals into a way that retains both your sense of accomplishment and the knowledge that you really did your best. Helping mothers and babies meet their breastfeeding goals is my passion!!! I primarily see mothers in their own Utah County homes.

How thankful I am, I’ll never forget Jill’s help!
I had a baby in my mid-40s and have never nursed very well due to lactation difficulty. My baby was born with a tongue tie and I finally found Jill who helped me increase my milk supply and give me amazing advice with nursing, holding, baby’s latch and mouth structure. She calmed my anxieties of midlife crisis by sharing experiences and giving me confidence. She was very personal and understanding, she listened and spent every single minute of her time with me that she possibly could. I’m so grateful it for her.
Lactation problems, tongue tie, nursing anxiety
Jill is truly an angel and a pro. She’s seen it ALL. She knew just how to instruct me and show me ways to improve positioning and latch to make breastfeeding more comfortable for me. She showed us tummy time techniques and gentle body work to do at home that I believe 100% set us on a course for a very strong, chunky, healthy feeder. Jill also connected us with the wonderful pediatric dentist Dr. Richter who did our daughter’s lip and tongue tie revision. This suite of care and help combined to make a very potent and supportive salve for my poor mama heart (and damaged nipples!) after a Rocky start. These good people saved our breastfeeding journey and I’m so thankful. Totally worth the cost and more.
Nipple pain and damage from poor latch and tongue tie prompted me to seek help with learning, revision, recovery, and general breastfeeding knowledge.
