Bio

Julie is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant providing support to families in the Western Maryland, Carroll County and Loudoun County areas. For the last eight years, she has been volunteering as a trained support group leader for La Leche League of Frederick, MD and Attachment Parenting International of Frederick, MD. She really enjoys working with babies and their families with breastfeeding, bonding and emotional support. She likes to work with families from a holistic point of view and take each need into consideration when helping to assess and focus on goals. She is a social worker by training and has many years of experience working with families in new and sometimes stressful situations. She was born and raised in the midwest and twenty years ago made Frederick her home. For the last twelve years she has been working as a librarian for the public libraries. She is married to Joe and has two children, Lucy and Quynn.
