Laura grew up in New York and moved to the Seacoast in 2004 after falling in love with New England and then her husband. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1998 when she started her career working in medical-surgical nursing and then spent many years working as a traveling emergency room nurse around the country. The last few years have been spent as a recovery room nurse at a local hospital.
She received a liberal arts and nursing degree from Dutchess Community College in NY and went on for her Bachelors degree in nursing at SUNY Utica. In 2008, she graduated from Antioch University with a Masters degree in leadership and management. She has been working in the field of clinical Lactation for over 2 years and earned the IBCLC credential in October 2018.
After having two children and experiencing the challenges of breast feeding while working, she decided to explore a new career and become a lactation consulant. With critical care nursing as her backgound, she enjoys a challenge and wants to help mothers as much as she can. She enjoys helping new mothers and babies learn breastfeeding techniques and how to enjoy each other. She will be utilizing national standards and evidence based practice in all of her care. Laura is happy to help you and your baby learn each other and build the bond of a lifetime.
