Bio

Lynn began her career at West Georgia Health as a personnel clerk in 1989 in the Human Resources department. She left the hospital in 1991 to pursue her career as a registered nurse.

A Sims scholarship recipient, she began her nursing career in 1993 as a staff nurse in the Labor and Delivery department. In 1997, she transferred to the OB unit and has been a lactation consultant for 13 years.

Throughout these years, Lynn has left employment for short periods of time to care for her family, but her love for mothers and babies just kept bringing her back to a profession she loves.

As a full-time lactation consultant, she still finds time to do so much more than help new moms breastfeed their babies. When she recognizes staff members need help, she willingly jumps in to give pain medication or complete discharge instructions. She is the textbook picture of a team player. She also does outpatient consults for moms having difficulty with breastfeeding, and she hosts a breastfeeding support group and educational classes.

When she finds time to relax, Lynn says she loves to walk, read and spend time with her family. She is very active at Rosemont Baptist Church, where she shares her beautiful singing voice in the choir; she is also part of a praise team.
