Taryn Mickus, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Lactation Educator, provides breastfeeding support to mothers living in the city of Alameda. She helps new, experienced and adoptive mothers initiate breastfeeding and overcome obstacles. Taryn can help you with low milk supply, sore nipples, breast pain, latch problems, weaning, going back to work and more. She believes in giving mothers up-to-date information and caring support so that they can make informed decisions for their infants and themselves. Taryn is a graduate of UC San Diego's Lactation Educator and Lactation Consultant programs, the most rigorous of their kind in the US. She belongs to the International Lactation Consultant Association, US Lactation Consultant Association and Bay Area Lactation Associates. Taryn previously worked as a lactation consultant at CPMC. Taryn is also the mom of two breastfed kids. She has personal experience with tongue-tie, thrush, over-supply, working and pumping, plugged ducts, mastitis, breastfeeding during pregnancy and tandem nursing.
