"Megan Bousquet, MA, ATR, LPC
Registered Art Therapist (ATR)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
As a therapist and mother, I have extensive experience working with women, children, and families and have been practicing therapy for over 15 years. Over time, and after becoming a mother, my experiences have guided me towards my passion for women’s wellness, maternal mental health and children.
I have specialized training and experience with women’s health, perinatal and postpartum wellness, anxiety and depression, motherhood, eating disorders, body image, and child development.
Sometimes expressing ourselves requires more than words and at times we might make artwork together. Art Therapy is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to: Identify, explore, and express emotions, resolve conflicts and problems, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight.
Throughout the journey of a woman’s life there are many emotional shifts and challenges. Are you going through a difficult life event and feeling like it would help to have more support? Are you looking to learn ways to increase your emotional wellness, resolve conflicts, and feel more secure in your relationship with yourself and others?
Ma Zen Space is where mindfulness, art, and cognitive therapy combine to offer you an opportunity to transform difficult moments into growth. Offered both online and in-person, individual sessions offer a supportive space for well being. Sessions are based on individual needs and incorporate a combination of psychological counseling, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.
