I have been fortunate to practice at Park Nicollet since 1979 in various areas of Physical Therapy - including cardiac rehabilitation, inpatient oncology and neurology, outpatient orthopedics and since 1996, pelvic health. I have especially enjoyed this relatively new field of pelvic health and find treating these patients highly rewarding.
I currently treat men and women with a variety of pelvic floor diagnoses, including incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, pelvic pain, abdominal pain, dyspareunia, and coccydynia. I utilize a teaching approach, as well as hands-on care, so that my patients better understand possible causes of their symptoms and feel engaged in their own care. I also have expertise in common orthopedic diagnoses including neck and back pain, shoulder dysfunction, and hip dysfunction.
In addition to my PT practice, I have had the opportunity to supervise rehabilitation staff for over 20 years, initially within Methodist Hospital and then in Minnetonka and Shorewood. This presented me the opportunity to interact with many patients in my home community and with staff throughout our organization.
